SUN, MAY 25: Wool and Textiles

See how cloth was made by our forebears. Sheep shearing, spinning and weaving demonstrations, etc.
Plus live animals- sheep, alpacas, and more.

SAT, JUNE 7: Ice Cream Social, Book Fair & Flea Market
Location note: At OMV Church in Midtown Park, New Milford
Special hours: 10 am - 4 pm

Enjoy a refreshing dish or cone of ice cream, or maybe a root beer float! Browse the selection of donated books on sale to benefit the OMV Church. Outdoor flea vendors call to reserve space.

SAT & SUN, JUNE 28 & 29: Frontier Day: 18th Century Living History
Extended Hours- 10 am - 5 pm

A look back in time to the pioneers that settled the frontier. Included will be presentations of the area's Scottish heritage. Activities all day: games and contests from settlement days, log cabin construction, open hearth cooking, and craft demonstrations. Hands-on fun for all ages.

SAT. JULY 19: Antique Tractors

Marvelous machines that worked the soil and fed the nation. Restored, shining, and colorful tractors and farm implements to awe the beholder.

SAT. JULY 26: Old Mill Folk Festival

Enjoy some down-home old time music at our "Open Stage," hear folk tales from around the world, folk medicine and see crafts done by "just plain folk."

SAT & SUN., AUG. 9 & 10: Underground Railroad and Black History

The road to freedom for many slaves passed right through our area. Experience a small glimpse of trails taken and hardships endured in search of freedom and safety. Learn of the contributions made by those who chose to stay and settle here.

SAT., SEPT 13: Cruisin' the Village -Classic Car Cruise

Gleaming chrome, brilliant paint, and the roar of engines. These classic beauties will excite car fans of all ages.

SAT & SUN, SEPT 27, 28: Fall Festival &Craft Fair

A harvest time celebration. Contests, games, hay maze, and more.
Included will be a Craft Fair where artisans of the region will have their wares for sale.
Crafters call to reserve space.
There will be a Folk Music Contest at 1 pm on Sunday. The contest is open for all age groups
to compete for ribbons.

SAT. & SUN, OCT 4 & 5: Civil War Living History

The War Between the States shaped our history and changed life for many in our area. Sit in on a "lesson" at the one-room schoolhouse. March in step with soldiers, and be charmed by the elegantly dressed ladies. Battle re-enactments each day.

SAT., OCT 4: Stamp Month Celebration (as part of Civil War event)
The old New Milford Post Office, now at OMV, is open for official business again for one day. Special commemorative Postmark for all outgoing mail. Postcards and stamps for sale.

FRIs. & SATs. , OCT. 10 -11 & 17 - 18: Historic Ghost Walks of PA

Special admission rates: $5.00 ages 12 and up, $3 ages 6 thru 11. Under age 6 free.
Take a spine-tingling nightime candlelight tour of the Village, while being thrilled by tales of ghosts and hauntings from our area and around the state of PA. Your shivers will not be from the chilly weather! Cider, hot chocolate and donuts provided at the end of the tours. Tours start about every 20 minutes throughout the night. Reservations recommended for all, required for parties of 10 or more.

SAT., NOV. 29: Victorian Christmas and Tea
Location note: At OMV Church during New Milford 's "Santa in the Park"

This event: no admission is charged, donations appreciated.
Enjoy an elegant interlude, tasting delectable treats of the 19th century. A wide variety of teas and pasties served all day. Live Christmas music and entertainments upstairs in the Church sanctuary. Silent auction of a wonderful variety of donated items that will make great gifts - if you can part with them.
